Nagaoka Tenman-gu
In Nagaoka Tenman-gu, Kirishima azalea (Rhododendron obtusum Planch) in full bloom can be seen late in April.

I hear that the thicket of this Kirishima azalea (Rhododendron obtusum Planch) can also be age-of-a-tree 130 years. Moreover, the Suijyo bridge is built over Hachijyo pond here and it is a place with a rather sufficient atmosphere. Nagaoka Tenman-gu is the shrine which has deified the deified spirit of Sugawara Michizane, i.e., the Michizane Sugawara public, so that it can imagine also from a name. Moreover, although it seems that it is being able to tell Tenman-gu all over the country such connections, it seems that there is not necessarily a talk for straining the Michizane origin. Since it seems that the shrine which a name attaches with Tenman-gu and Tenjin is in a national infinite number. That's right which Imperial Prince Hatijyonomiya Tomohito is having the pond erected here in 1638 in early stages of the Edo period, and takes the name and by which the pond of the Nagaoka Tenman-gu approach was named Hachijyo pond
