Shin-nyodo is a temple called Shinsyo-Gokurakuji in an official name. It is a temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism in which the Kaisan saint who was a priest of Mt. Hiei acted as founding on this background in 984. It is said that a name is a name of Hondo of Shinsyo-Gokurakuji. Amitabha Tathagata is deified by the principal image.
