Saga-toriimoto

It is a wallpaper photograph of the autumnal leaves of Saga-toriimoto.

Saga-toriimoto is in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto-shi and is near the Takao park way entrance which escapes from Arashiyama in the direction of Takao. History of Saga-toriimoto is old and it just prospered as a temple town of an Atago shrine. It originates in the reason called Toriimoto having Itinotorii of this Atago shrine. Moreover, the autumnal leaves which also have restaurants, such as Hiranoya which is proud of the tradition in 400, and start the roof of a restaurant are brilliant. It seems that it is said that Sagano was developed by the Hata family who is said for the history of Sagano to have been very old, and to already have crossed around the 5th century from overseas, and to have lived in this ground. It is said that the cottage of a Heian aristocrat or the Imperial Household was built in quest of the very beautiful scenery of Sagano, and the aristocrat was enjoying falconry and boating from the Heian period again. Moreover, it is said that it appears well also as a subject matter of literary works, such as the Tale of Genji, Heike monogatari, a 31-syllable Japanese poem, and a haiku poem, it also makes the name of Sagano the general public famous at future generations, and Sagano became a cause which came to receive a visit of very many people since it was loved by such aristocrat of the Heian period. History is very old, and the rows of houses which have left the image of those days are specified also as the traditional building group preservation area in Kyoto while they will be specified as the Historic Preservation District of a country in Showa 54. Moreover, it is one of the spot which the famous place of autumnal leaves, such as Adashino-Nenbutuji, is also located in the neighborhood, and cannot remove here with the autumnal leaves of Kyoto and Sagano.
