Osawa collapse
Actual size

Osawa collapse of Mt. Fuji which is said to have begun from before about 1000 or more.
The Osawa collapse has collapsed from the summit-of-the-mountain portion covering 2.2km550m in width in length,
and a depth of 150m on the west side slope in Mt. Fuji. It seems that moreover,
the degree of crash is becoming still more intense in recent years.
Soft stratums, such as volcanic ashes, are first eroded by rain, continue by it, a hard heavy lava bed crashes,
and this deletes a slope. It is because what is said will be repeated and erosion will advance more.
Mt. Fuji may also be doing like this, being eroded automatically and changing the form gradually.
Moreover, a lot of mudflows may flow here by heavy rain,
and the erosion control enterprise of country direct control is undertaken also from on disaster prevention.
