Okayama Korakuen Garden is known as one of the Japanese three major garden along with Mito Kairakuen or Kanazawa Kenrokuen Garden,
It is a noted garden which has a vast site of about 40,000 tsubos (133,000 sq Km) in the ridge of Okayama city central part Asahikawa.

there is much what is represented by moss, but it is said that it is the garden which took in the lawn
first here in Japan. I feel that the feature of the hips can also be seen for that of the park as used
in the field of the present. Moreover, there are a wood of the plum which has inside the garden a
Japanese iris field where a Japanese iris blooms, and about 100 plums, a wood of a cherry tree, woods
of Tishio with maple with beautiful fresh green and autumnal leaves, a tea garden, etc., and beautiful
garden scenery every season can be enjoyed. chiefly -- this Korakuen -- all the past hans -- it seems
that it is a place of the main relaxation, and is a place of rest, and was used as an institution for
greeting a guest in the Okayama han It is 1871 years (Meiji 4) that the official name of the garden
came to be called "Korakuen." It will be transferred to Okayama Prefecture from an Ikeda house after
that in 1884 (Meiji 17), and the general public will also come to put in freely. It seems that however,
the flood damage in 1893 (Meiji 26) was begun, and it might suffer flood damage frequently although this
Oba garden was also in the ridge of Asahikawa therefore. Moreover, it suffered damage of the Okayama
University air raid for the year (1945) of the end of the war. the han of the Okayama han -- the garden
considered to also have had character also as main rest places is in a sandbank on the opposite shore
across Asahikawa, and is connected with the Tsukimi bridge concerning Asahikawa to the Okayama castle.
Moreover, an Okayama castle can be desired close at hand from inside a garden. In the time of fresh green
