Kimii-dera was founded in 770 by the hand of the visiting monk
and the Iko saint from Tang of those days.
Although it is said that it was a temple of the Shingon sect from the first,
independently of the Shingon sect, it is a head temple of Guzekannonsyu now.
It is said that it is so called from there being three springwater
although it is the origin of the name of Kimii-dera.
Seemingly there are Seijyo water, Yoryu water and Kissyo water, and three in fact,
and Seijyo water is flowing out while being a charm-against-misfortunes hill before long.
Moreover, this Mitsui is selected by the 100th elections of noted water.
Although it is said that the temple which Mitsui and a name attach is located elsewhere
in fact in Otsu-shi, Shiga, and this is a head temple of Tendaijimonsyu,
That's right which became Kimii-dera from Mii-dera in Kishuu in order to distinguish from the temple
