Hashikui rock is a natural treasure specified by a country, and it is located in a line
so that 40 or so size strangely shaped rocks may project over about 850m toward Kii Oshima
from the seashore in Kushimoto.
It is said that the origin of the name was attached from the place
which seems to have located only the stake of the bridge in a line completely.
Moreover, although competition on which Kobo Daishi hangs a bridge in a night to Oshima
was carried out to this Hashikui rock, the hen which tells dawn cries and the partner who became
that it is likely to lose writes imitation.
It is said that there is also a tradition of having finished only with the stake without the ability
to finish hanging a bridge.
But it is although only the hard portion of rock remained cylindrically by erosion of the sea
and a wave over long years...
